Mass Ave foe moves on

Eric Berger, a colorful critic of the Mass. Ave. Project, has “moved to Florida,” according to a notice posted briefly at the web site he once ran on behalf of the East Arlington Concerned Citizens Committee.

Web-site screen shot from earlier this month. The site has since been taken down.

Berger’s phone number is disconnected and his Hamilton Road apartment is listed for rent.

During his stay in Arlington Berger spent lavishly to stage media events and sponsor other projects against the Mass. Ave. plan.

Project planning began in 2008 and has been under construction in East Arlington since July.

The web page is offline, but can be viewed in part on the internet archive.

Adam, its a shame you have not honored David Watson for having moved on from being the Executive Director of MassBike and Alta Bike Share for moving on to new owners who bailed them out. deserves mention for being stripped of most of its content (to protect the guilty?).

Dinna fash yersel, Mark. There’s no shame in moving on. Why pay to keep a web site going once the party is over?

For that matter this blog is probably nearing the end of its useful life.

Still the Better Mass Ave site persists at its canonical address for the time being, for those feeling nostalgic.

I hope he enjoys Florida. It is very car-friendly there, for both good (far better signage and intersection design) and bad (not a safe place to walk or bike; lots of second-class and third-class infrastructure or none at all).

What do you think?
